
Government is strengthening urban improvement trusts by e-declaration of vacant land - Brahm Shankar Jimpa
Hoshiarpur - Cabinet Minister Punjab Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has strengthened all the urban improvement trusts in the state. And over the years residential and commercial properties have been auctioned through e-auction of vacant trust lands. With this effort of the government, where people have got property at reasonable prices, the income of trusts has also increased.
Hoshiarpur - Cabinet Minister Punjab Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has strengthened all the urban improvement trusts in the state. And over the years residential and commercial properties have been auctioned through e-auction of vacant trust lands. With this effort of the government, where people have got property at reasonable prices, the income of trusts has also increased. He was addressing the media after giving the allotment letters to 16 successful bidders during the e-auction at the office of Urban Improvement Trust Hoshiarpur today. Meanwhile, Chairman Nagar Improvement Trust Harmeet Singh Aulakh and Mayor Surinder Kumar were also present with him. On this occasion, he also encouraged all the bidders to contribute to the conservation of the environment by distributing plants. The Cabinet Minister said that the e-auction was launched under the leadership of Chairman Urban Improvement Trust Harmeet Singh Aulakh to conduct the sale of residential and commercial properties in a transparent manner. He said that during the successful bidding from 20th February 2024 to 22nd February 2024, properties worth around 3 crores of Nagar Trust were sold, due to which the income of the trust has increased. Brahm Shankar Gimpa said that a residential scheme named Rajiv Gandhi Avenue is being established in 7.73 acres in the coming days as a gift to the city residents, which has been approved by the Punjab government. He said that modern facilities, clean water, sewage, open roads and street lights will be arranged in it. Apart from this, new parks are being developed. The residential plots of the schemes will be allotted through draw at the government rate (reserve price). He said that this is a golden opportunity for the general public to become the owner of the plots through the draw. He asked the people to take maximum advantage of the schemes of the Punjab government.
Chairman Nagar Improvement Trust Harmeet Singh Aulakh said that 8 shops in Scheme No. 11 Sardar Kartar Singh Sarabha Market, 6 SCOs in Scheme No. 10 Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar and 6 SCOs in Scheme No. 11 Sant Harchand during the successful bidding from 20 February 2024 to 22 February 2024. Two residential plots were successfully bid in Singh Longowal. He said that the residential scheme to be established in Rajiv Gandhi Avenue will have 34 plots of 4 marles each, 64 plots of 6 marles and 36 plots of 8 marles. He said that 4 parks will also be built there.
