Garhshankar- Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira at Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College Garhshankar, which is run under the management of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee; and under the supervision of Head of Education Department Dr. Sangha Gurbaksh Kaur, the Education Department organized skill-in-teaching and best teaching aid competitions for students of BA, B.Ed and B.Sc four-year integrated courses. In the competitions, 32 students of the department participated in competitions on various subjects.
In the skill-in-teaching competition, Navdeep Kaur and Namrata Kumari secured first and second place respectively in the teaching of Punjabi competition. In the Teaching of English competition, Rajwinder Kaur won first, Mahesh Nafra won second and Mansi Rana won third place. In Teaching of Mathematics, Diksha Rani won first, Komal won second and Priya won third place. In Teaching of Science competition, Diksha won first, Nikita won second and Ankita Rana won third place.
In Teaching of Social Studies, Taranjit Kaur won first, Divya Rana won second and Sundar and Mahesh Nafra won third place. At the end of the competition, College Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira distributed prizes to the students who excelled in the competition. Addressing the students, he said that such competitions motivate students to move forward in the future.
Encouraging all the students to participate in the competitions, he said that it is very important to join the competitions to achieve the goal in any field. Prof. Kanwar Kulwant Singh, Dr. Janki Agarwal, Dr. Manbir Kaur, Dr. Sangha Gurbaksh Kaur, Dr. Harvinder Kaur, Dr. Arvinder Kaur, Dr. Mukesh Sharma, Prof. Deepika, Dr. Naresh Kumari, Prof. Kiranjot Kaur, Prof. Pragati Bhanot and Prof. Sandeep Kaur were present on this occasion.
