Una, June 18: Under the Una Child Development Project, a 'Summer Readiness Fair-1' was organized on Thursday at the Lower Basal Anganwadi Centre (under the Basal Supervisor Circle), presided over by Supervisor Kulveer Kaur.
The primary objective of the fair was to reach as many children as possible within a short timeframe and prepare them—mentally, educationally, and socially—for school entry. During the event, children were introduced to the school environment through various play-based learning activities.
Several engaging activities were conducted to foster the children's creativity, learning capabilities, and self-confidence. Anganwadi workers introduced the children to colors, letters, numbers, and other basic educational concepts to better equip them for formal schooling. They noted that such programs facilitate the holistic development of children and ease the process of their admission and adjustment to school life.
