Jalandhar:- The World Theatre Day celebrated at Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall was successful in giving a message of embracing art, pen and theatre with anti-war, anti-fascist forces from all over the world. On the invitation of Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee, various theatre groups, artists, painters, supporting organizations and families associated with Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall united in the event and raised their voices and took a pledge that theatre workers will always stand firm against communal fascists and warlords.
Speaking on the topic 'Life is a theatre' on this occasion, Senior Trustee of Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee Prof. Waryam Singh Sandhu said that in the current gloomy weather and autumn season, according to the saying of 'Koi Harya Boot Raho Ri', theatre workers deserve congratulations for keeping the flame of truth, justice and justice burning. In today's event, Prof. Waryam Singh Sandhu was honored with a badge of honor on the Babbar Akali Sangram by the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee.
Prof. Waryam Singh Sandhu said that the expression of protest by people all over the world against the intimidation, threats and throwing various countries into the furnace of unjust war by the warlords Captain American Empire is a good phenomenon. Amolak Singh, convener of the cultural wing of the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee, shared the international message of famous Hollywood actor William James Defoe (USA) on the occasion of World Theatre Day this time and said that, 'There is no alternative to the genre of theatre in the world. This genre is extremely effective. Even if new technology touches the skies, it can never replace the theatre.
In the event, Navchintan Kala Manch Beas presented the play 'Sis Tali 'te' written by Gursharan Bhaji under the direction of Karantipal and co-directed by Pritpal. The play itself made sharp arguments that the Babbar Akali movement, which was raised against the looting of our people by companies from outside, is still relevant today.
When corporate houses are taking over the fields of agriculture, industry, education, forest, water, land, employment etc., the Babbar Akali movement is inspiring to overcome the challenges facing the people after 100 years. Two short plays based on the world famous work 'Moiyaan De Khat' were presented brilliantly by Aarushi and SP Singh. These plays were prepared by Style Arts Association under the direction of Neeraj Kaushik.
The center of special attraction in today's event was the photo exhibition organized by Inderjit Artist Jalandhar. In which photographs were also displayed by the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee and People's Voice Dr. Sailesh. The photo exhibition gave a message of fighting together against war, communalism and fascism and for the protection of democratic rights. The exhibition of poetry by renowned poets of Punjab on Jallianwala Bagh, Babur Movement, Kakori incident, war on democratic rights etc. made an indelible impression on the people.
In today's event, besides the students who came in large numbers under the leadership of Prof. Ravi of GNA University, Phagwara, eminent journalists Satnam Singh Manak, Paramjit Singh Virk, Jaspreet Singh Saini, poet Baljit Kaur Bal, Rang Karmi Bakhsh Sangha Edmonton (Canada), members of the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee and dozens of art lovers were present.
