Hansi:– The district’s first women’s library, named Nav Chetna Mahila Library, was inaugurated by MLA Vinod Bhayana in Shekhpura village on Sunday. On the occasion, SDM Rajesh Khoth, Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associate Pratiksha Sangwan, village Sarpanch Pradeep Kumar, officials of the concerned departments and several prominent villagers were present. Upon his arrival in the village, MLA Vinod Bhayana was welcomed by the villagers by presenting him with a turban. Meanwhile, Captain Satpal Singh honoured SDM Rajesh Khoth with a turban on behalf of the village.
Addressing the citizens present at the inauguration, MLA Vinod Bhayana said that it was a matter of great privilege for him to inaugurate the district’s first women’s library in Shekhpura village. He extended special congratulations to the mothers, sisters and daughters of the village and said that this library is not merely a room full of books, but a new centre for giving wings to the dreams of women and daughters.
The MLA further said that daughters would study here, prepare for competitive examinations and move forward towards fulfilling the dreams they have cherished. There is no shortage of talent among our daughters. What they need is a better environment, proper guidance and family support. When parents motivate their daughters and they get an opportunity to study in a peaceful environment, nothing can stop their talent from reaching new heights.
The MLA said that he was extremely delighted to congratulate the entire village, especially the daughters, for this important initiative. He said that the government’s vision is to provide women and daughters with maximum opportunities for education and knowledge. The Women’s Library is an important step towards translating this vision into reality.
MLA Vinod Bhayana specially thanked Deputy Commissioner Rahul Narwal and Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associate Pratiksha Sangwan for playing an important role in this initiative. He said that with the positive approach of the district administration and the cooperation of officials, such public welfare initiatives are continuously being taken forward in the district. He also appreciated the role of SDM Rajesh Khoth and said that his cooperation has always been available in development and public welfare-related works in the area.
He appealed to the villagers to make maximum use of the library and particularly encourage daughters to visit the library regularly for studies. He said that the real development of any village can only be considered complete when its daughters are educated, self-reliant and able to stand on their own feet. The MLA also assured that the demands put forward by the Sarpanch regarding the development of the village would be fulfilled.
**SDM Rajesh Khoth Announces to Provide 21 Books
On the occasion, SDM Rajesh Khoth announced that he would personally provide 21 books along with one English and one Hindi newspaper to the Women’s Library. He also appealed to villagers and other people to come forward and provide useful books to the library so that the daughters and women visiting the facility can have access to books on a wide range of subjects.
After the inauguration, MLA Vinod Bhayana and SDM Rajesh Khoth inspected the Women’s Library. They reviewed the facilities available, seating arrangements and books in the library and discussed its functioning with the concerned officials and village representatives.
During the visit, the MLA said that the library should be equipped with more facilities in the future so that women and girl students visiting the library can get a better environment for studying. He also appealed to the villagers to cooperate in the maintenance and functioning of the library.
During the programme, the villagers thanked MLA Vinod Bhayana for establishing the Women’s Library and carrying out development works in the village. The villagers said that the availability of such a facility in the village would greatly benefit girl students and women in their studies and preparation for competitive examinations.
Chief Minister’s Good Governance Associate Pratiksha Sangwan expressed her gratitude to DC Rahul Narwal and MLA Vinod Bhayana for their support in establishing the library. She said that Nav Chetna Women’s Libraries would be established in several villages of the district. Work in this direction is progressing rapidly. The library in Ghiray village has been completed and will be inaugurated soon. Necessary proceedings are also being completed for establishing a library in Narnaund.
