Una, February 21: The Himachal Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation has been appointed as the nodal agency for the purchase of wheat from farmers in Una district. Providing this information, Rajiv Sharma, District Controller, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (DFSC), Una, stated that wheat procurement from farmers will take place from April 8th to June 15th at the Rampur Grain Market and Takarla Grain Market.
He stated that the government has set the minimum support price for wheat at ?2585 per quintal, ensuring farmers receive a fair and assured price for their produce. Farmers in the district can register online for the sale of their produce after March 1st on the https://hpapp.nic.in/ portal.
DFSC stated that after the token service begins, farmers will be able to book their tokens by the scheduled date and sell their produce in the market. This arrangement will facilitate farmers' home-based crop sales.
He informed that the amount of wheat purchased will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of the farmers through online medium, due to which the payment process will remain transparent, safe and smooth.
