Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said that waste will continue to be used in the construction of new roads. He also made a statement about India's automobile industry at the same event.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that 8 million tonnes of waste have already been used in road construction. "We have decided that by the end of 2027, all the solid waste will be used in road construction. It is not a pleasant sight to see four such mountains in Delhi," he said.
Regarding India's automobile industry, the Union Minister said that within the next five years, India's automobile industry will be the largest in the world. Currently, with a market size of ?22 lakh crore, India is ranked third in the world. Markets like the US and China are ahead of India.
