Chandigarh, September 11:- The Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha Chandigarh has praised the splendid presentation of Punjabi culture on the occasion of Bharat Nutravars Expo-2026, which has given a major boost to the promotion and propagation of Punjabi.
The Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Industry, Government of India, organised Bharat Nutravars at Pragati Maidan in Delhi, which recently concluded on September 9-10, 2026. Representatives from around 24 countries participated in this grand event. Leading Indian companies dealing in foreign, English and Ayurvedic medicines also created health awareness among people at the expo. Both ministries, in collaboration with the Sangeet Natak Akademi, organised a splendid cultural programme in which Punjabi culture was promoted along with classical and Kathak dances. For the presentation of music, theatre and Punjabi culture, internationally acclaimed coach Rajinder Tank displayed his artistic talent through a splendid performance on behalf of the Sangeet Natak Akademi.
The Bhangra performance compelled the domestic and foreign audiences seated in the pavilion to dance. Amit played the dhol, Rajinder Tank played the algoza and Gurcharan Singh played the chimta, while Jagjit Singh's Punjabi boliyan added a unique colour to Punjabi culture. Following the Punjabi Bhangra performance, foreign delegates had the Punjabi dhol played and enthusiastically performed Bhangra.
The Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha Chandigarh expressed immense happiness over such a splendid presentation of Punjabi culture and congratulated renowned folk dance organiser Rajinder Tank for giving a unique place to Punjabi, Punjabiyat and Punjabi culture.
Those who extended their congratulations included the organisation's president Prin. Bahadur Singh Gosal, Senior Vice-President Jagtar Singh Jog, General Secretary Avtar Singh Mahitpuri, renowned singer Ranjodh Singh Rana, Chief Adviser Shri Raj Kumar Sahowalia and Balwinder Singh. They said that organising such large events is highly beneficial for promoting Punjabi culture.
