Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, July 14, 2026:- Shri Surinder Kalyan, Vice-Chairman of the Punjab State Safai Commission, held a detailed meeting today with the Executive Officer (EO) of Municipal Council Dera Bassi, Shri Ravneet Singh, to address the problems faced by the sanitation workers of Dera Bassi.
On this occasion, apart from the President and other office-bearers of the Safai Karamchari Union, other concerned officials were also present.
During the meeting, Vice-Chairman Surinder Kalyan directed the officials to ensure timely promotions for sanitation workers and to resolve their legitimate demands immediately.
The Vice-Chairman also reviewed issues regarding the regularization of contractual employees, the payment of pending funds for retired employees, and the provision of soap, oil, and uniforms to the sanitation workers.
He stated that the Punjab State Safai Commission is fully committed to the welfare of sanitation workers, and no injustice or exploitation of any employee will be tolerated. He added that any employee can contact the Commission without hesitation regarding their problems.
On this occasion, the Executive Officer of Municipal Council Dera Bassi assured that the instructions issued by the Vice-Chairman would be strictly complied with.
