Ferozepur:- Shravan Singh, a 10-year-old boy from village Chak Tar Wali here, has been honoured with the 'Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar' by the President of India, Draupadi Murmu, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas. Shravan Singh has been given this award for his exceptional intelligence, courage and selfless service during Operation Sindhur in May 2025.
It is noteworthy that Shravan Singh had been helping the troops stationed on the border in a tense atmosphere on the Indo-Pakistan border. At a time when no one was leaving their homes out of fear and there was a blackout in Ferozepur district, Shravan Singh had been reaching out to the Indian forces to serve by risking his life, ignoring the drones of the enemy country. Shravan Singh used to deliver essential items like tea, milk, water, ice, and lassi to the troops.
For which Shravan Singh has also been honored by the army and the army itself has taken responsibility for his education. Today, Shravan Singh has been honored with the 'Prime Minister's National Child Award' by the President.
