Hisar: National President of All India Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Satendra Singh, discussed in detail the establishment of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, its objectives, and the work being done for the tribal community. During the press conference, he also highlighted the problems faced by the tribal community and the efforts being made to address them. Present on the occasion were All India Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram Patron Soumya Julu, National Executive Member Rambabu Singal, North Region Urban Affairs Chief Jai Bhagwan, State Secretary Ramniwas Agarwal CA, and District President Sanjeev Arora, along with all the office bearers and members of the Hisar unit.
Sharing his experiences with journalists, National President Satendra Singh said that many people in tribal areas are being converted. Those who convert should not be given the benefit of ST reservation. Therefore, the demand for delisting is being made. He explained that the Tribal Security Forum has been campaigning for delisting for several years. He clarified that converted tribals are reaping double benefits by abandoning their original traditions and Sanatan culture.
Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to remove those who convert from the Scheduled Tribe list. Doing so will truly protect the interests of tribal communities. Satendra Singh stated that a massive protest will be held on May 24th at the Red Fort grounds in Delhi under the aegis of the Tribal Security Forum to demand delisting.
People from tribal areas across the country will participate enthusiastically in this protest. Furthermore, Haryana, Punjab, and Delhi will play a special role in this movement. He stated that this protest will be celebrated as a Tribal Spiritual Confluence on May 24th.
National President Satendra Singh stated that the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram has reached over 64,000 villages located in remote forests and tribal areas across the country. Reaching out to tribal communities is a monumental task. He stated that work is being done for the overall development of tribal communities, and the organization aims to reach over 120 million tribal people. "Our workers are reaching out to communities living in remote forests and tribal areas to ensure their social and economic empowerment," he said.
During a press conference, Soumya Julu stated that Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram is working diligently to promote education, provide hostels for tribal students, provide health services in remote areas, protect community rights, and strengthen village-level infrastructure and self-reliance. He clarified that tribal communities are not resident in Haryana, Punjab, and Delhi. Despite this, urban development, women's work, youth work, and publicity work are ongoing in these areas.
Rambabu Singal and Jai Bhagwan explained that Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram is striving to connect tribal communities living in tribal areas across the country with the mainstream of society. There are 12 crore tribals across the country and for their progress, more than 22 thousand service projects like education, medical and village development are being run by Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram across the country. Two crore tribal brothers are benefiting from these projects. With the help of social workers of Haryana, several trucks of clothes, ration and other materials are sent every year to help the tribal brothers.
On this occasion, District Secretary Ajay Saini, Treasurer Parv Gupta, Vice President Bajrang and Ishwar Saini, Joint Secretary Pawan Rada, Executive Member Manish Bindal, Gaurav Singla, Sameer Sardana and Ankush Saraf along with all the office bearers and members were present.
