Ratia, November 7 - As per the instructions of the Central Government, a memorial celebration was organized at the sub-division level in the auditorium of the Mini Secretariat to mark the completion of the 150th anniversary of the national song "Vande Mataram." The ceremony included a collective singing of "Vande Mataram," and the audience listened attentively to the inspiring live messages from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
All attendees took a pledge of patriotism, national unity, and social harmony at the memorial celebration. Addressing the ceremony, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Surendra Singh expressed his heartfelt congratulations to everyone on the completion of the 150th anniversary of the song "Vande Mataram," a tribute to freedom fighters and martyrs and a symbol of patriotism, on November 7th.
As directed by the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the song "Vande Mataram" is being sung collectively today to strengthen patriotism and the spirit of Swadeshi across the nation. He stated that "Vande Mataram," composed by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in 1875, has the unique power to awaken patriotic sentiments.
This song inspired India's freedom movement and maintained national pride and unity. At the ceremony, SDM Surendra Singh urged citizens to make Vande Mataram not just a song, but the motto of their lives.
