Nawanshahr:- Keeping in view the contribution of trees in public life and the mission of tree conservation, Van Mahautsav was celebrated in village Balkipur. This work was carried out under the leadership of social worker S. Kirpal Singh Balkipur. On this occasion, he motivated to contribute to the collective movement for the conservation of old trees and planting new saplings.
At the commencement, fruit and shade trees were planted in the courtyard of Government Primary School Balkipur. Along with this, saplings were provided to the students and villagers present to plant in their respective houses and neighborhoods. The attendees appreciated this initiative. School in-charge Manoj Kumar thanked S. Kirpal Singh Balkipur and his colleagues.
On this occasion, contractor Satnam Singh Dhanda, former Sarpanch Kashmiri Lal, Gurnam Chand, Paramjit, Goldie Basra, Prashant, Kulwinder Ram, Sukha, Varinder Atwal etc. were present.
