New Delhi, February 7:- Union Minister Piyush Goyal says that the trade agreement with America will not harm the interests of farmers, small industries, handicrafts etc. India has not given any concessions on duties on any dairy products, sugar, millet to America.
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said that with this agreement, Washington will reduce the import tax levied on Indian goods. Due to this, the tariff imposed by America has come down to 18 percent.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said today that the interim trade agreement with America will strengthen 'Make in India' by opening new opportunities for farmers and entrepreneurs and will create employment for women and youth. The Prime Minister thanked US President Donald Trump for the strong ties between India and America.
