Chandigarh, July 23:- Union Minister of State for AYUSH and Health and Family Welfare Shri Prataprav Jadhav today paid a courtesy call on Haryana Governor Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh at Lok Bhawan here. On this occasion, various issues related to health services and AYUSH sector in Haryana were discussed in detail between the Governor and the Union Minister.
Taking information about the progress of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) under construction in Rewari, Governor Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh said that this project should be completed within the stipulated time frame so that the people of the region can get the benefit of its modern health services soon.
During the meeting, he also got information about the progress of the National Institute of Ayurveda in Panchkula. On this, Union Minister Shri Prataprav Jadhav said that the institute is running daily OPD. Consultation and treatment services are being provided to the patients through the institute. He said that soon the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will formally inaugurate the institute and dedicate it to the nation.
The Union Minister also informed the Governor about the efforts being made by the Government of India to strengthen the Ayurveda treatment system and expand and modernize the health infrastructure across the country including Haryana.
Governor Prof. Asim Kumar Ghosh stressed the need to further strengthen the health service delivery system and said that this would make accessible, affordable and quality health services available to every citizen, especially women living in remote and deprived areas and the underprivileged. He said that continuous strengthening of health infrastructure and medical services is necessary to provide equitable, effective and quality health services to all citizens.
Unprecedented expansion of health infrastructure across the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi - Prataprav Jadhav
Union Minister Shri Prataprav Jadhav apprised the Governor that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, an unprecedented expansion of health infrastructure is being done across the country. He said that the Central Government is equally promoting the AYUSH system of treatment with the aim of promoting holistic and inclusive health services. He informed that in Haryana too, health infrastructure is being expanded rapidly and continuous efforts are being made to provide quality health services to all sections of the society, especially the poor and the underprivileged.
