Patiala:- Due to repeated promises by ASSA, JPA, EG-2 candidates not giving appointment letters for jobs, 305 and 306 paper pass unemployed union Punjab led by president Amarjot Singh protested in the pouring rain in front of the gate of PSPCL head office. During this, huge protest was expressed against the Punjab government led by Bhagwant Mann and Electricity Board Management.
On this occasion, union president Amarjot Singh said that on 19 November 2025, unemployed candidates protested against the Punjab government for getting jobs, during which the department had assured in writing to give appointment letters within 15 days. But even after the lapse of 15 days, neither the department made appointments nor shared any clear information regarding the appointments with the union.
In protest against which the candidates held several meetings with the higher officials of the department from time to time, but all the meetings remained in vain. After this, on 22 and 23 December 2025, the candidates also held a protest and demonstration, during which the Electricity Board Department had promised to give appointment letters in the first week of January 2026, but today is the third week of January and the month is nearing its end.
But so far no written information has been given by the Electricity Board Department nor has any positive response been received. Union President Amarjot Singh said that all of us candidates have fulfilled every condition and rule for getting jobs. But still, except for the lottery, about 550 candidates have not received anything from the Electricity Board management.
He said that until the unemployed candidates are given job appointment letters, a permanent morcha has been set up outside PSPCL in protest. Unemployed leaders like Amarjot Singh, Jagjit Singh, Gurnam Singh, Ajay Batra, Palwinder Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Jagsir Singh, Ajay Batra, Angrej Singh, Ikjot Singh, Chetan Sharma, Gurtej Singh, Rajwinder Kaur, Rajdeep Kaur, Ritu, Gagandeep Kaur, Aninya Sharma, Vishal Gautam etc. were present on this occasion.
