Mohali:- We are all well aware of the importance of trees in our lives. It is because of trees that the lives and existence of human beings, animals, birds and countless insects are possible. That is why religious scriptures, great spiritual leaders and science have guided people to plant trees, care for them and refrain from cutting them down. We should certainly try to follow this guidance.
However, sometimes, due to misconceptions or superstitions, people apply vermilion, oil, flour, sweets and other such substances to the roots, trunks or leaves of trees. Unknowingly, through such practices, we may end up harming large trees and causing them to deteriorate or dry up. Such substances can attract insects and pests, which may subsequently damage the trees. In addition, some harmful materials, such as oil and vermilion, can also adversely affect tree roots and trunks.
If we understand this small act of negligence and lack of awareness, we can save many trees from being destroyed or drying up prematurely. This small but meaningful effort can make us more environmentally conscious. By becoming guardians of the environment, we can contribute to making our surroundings greener and healthier.
A small effort towards environmental improvement.
