Karnal, July 23: Upholding the commitment to environmental conservation and a 'Green India,' the Krishna Branch of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Karnal, successfully organized a tree plantation and sapling distribution program. The event took place in the park opposite Shyamal Sen Hospital in Sector-13.
Thirty members of the branch participated enthusiastically, collectively planting 30 new saplings. Each member planted a sapling in their own name and pledged to nurture it. Additionally, saplings were distributed to citizens present at the venue to raise awareness about environmental conservation; a total of 150 saplings were distributed.
Speaking on the occasion, speakers emphasized that trees not only purify the environment but also lay the foundation for a clean and safe future for generations to come. All members resolved to plant as many trees as possible and ensure their regular care.
Branch President Smt. Sonia Mehta expressed her gratitude to all members, stating that Bharat Vikas Parishad would continue to undertake social welfare activities driven by the spirit of service, values, and dedication.
