Chandigarh, September 16:- State Cooperation, Jails, Tourism, Heritage and Elections Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma said that special events would be organised across the state at the launch of the Service Resolve Campaign beginning September 17, with the spirit of ‘One Lamp - One Blessing’. Along with major tourism complexes and selected tourist destinations, the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ will also be lit at major institutions of the Cooperation Department, heritage and historical sites, and the state’s jails.
Issuing a video message regarding the Service Resolve Campaign, Dr. Arvind Sharma appealed to the people of the state to join the campaign of service, resolve and public participation. He said that the campaign, beginning on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, is an opportunity to take the spirit of service to every household. Every individual should further strengthen this resolve for service through their participation.
He said that every lamp lit with the spirit of ‘One Lamp–One Blessing’ would become a symbol of service, resolve, positivity and prayers for the prosperity and well-being of the country and the state. Through this initiative, tourists, local citizens and youth at tourism destinations, members and employees of cooperative institutions, and officers and employees at jail complexes would be brought into the programme.
Modi’s Core Mantra is Public Service, Schemes Have Brought Change in People’s Lives
In his video message, Dr. Arvind Sharma said that public service has been the core mantra of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. With the same spirit, the Central Government has implemented policies and schemes on the ground that have brought positive changes in the lives of ordinary people. Referring to vaccine manufacturing during the Covid period as an example of India’s self-reliance, he also mentioned schemes such as Lakhpati Didi, action against Naxalism, India’s growing role on the global stage and foreign policy.
He appealed to the people of the state to make the Service Resolve Campaign a campaign of public participation. He said that every individual can become a participant in the campaign by lighting a lamp at their homes and institutions on September 17.
‘25 Years of Service–Haryana Tourism’s New Flight’ to Be Showcased
Under the campaign, the Tourism Department will organise photo and digital exhibitions at major tourism complexes on the theme ‘25 Years of Service–Haryana Tourism’s New Flight’. The exhibition will showcase Haryana’s tourism development journey, religious and historical heritage, the Surajkund International Crafts Mela, Kurukshetra-Jyotisar, Pinjore, Morni, Dhosi Hill, and the development journey of farm and rural tourism.
Dr. Arvind Sharma directed the officials of the concerned departments to select locations for the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme, complete the necessary preparations in time and ensure that the programmes are organised in a dignified manner. He said that through the Service Resolve Campaign, the Tourism, Cooperation, Jails and Heritage Departments would, at their respective levels, take forward the spirit of service and public welfare.
