Hoshiarpur:- It will be mandatory for all the farmers of the district to register in the Farmer Registry to avail the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Giving information in this regard, Chief Agriculture Officer Dapinder Singh Sandhu said that the purpose of this process is to create a database of farmers, so that government assistance can reach the actual beneficiary transparently and directly.
He said that in future only those farmers will receive financial installments under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, who have completed the registration. During registration, an ID will be generated for each farmer which will be linked to the PM Kisan account. Due to which it will be easy to verify the farmer's land record.
In this regard, farmers can contact their nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or the concerned Block Agriculture Office. It is mandatory to bring Aadhaar card along with deposit for registration.
