Patiala:- Under the Right to Compulsory Education, Safety, Protection, and Help Act, efforts are being made by the governments, education, and health departments through necessary funds and employees to make children and minors healthy, fit, safe, and happy in educational institutions. Social service organizations also provide necessary materials for education to needy students.
But the Dedicated Brothers Group, in addition to providing fees to needy students, necessary materials for education, and adopting needy and deserving students for higher education, has now started a unique mission by forming awareness clubs in schools to provide information on continuous health, wellness, safety, protection, and help to students.
Jagriti Club was established at Greenland Public Senior Secondary School, Patiala under the leadership of Principal Mrs. Manju Garg. Dr. Rakesh Vermi, President Dedicated Brothers Group and First Aid, Safety, Health, Disaster Management Awareness Mission Trainer Mr. Kaka Ram Verma said that during the month of April, schools with Jagriti Clubs will be given training on prevention of heart, brain, lung, liver, cancer, anemia, eye diseases during World Health Week and on fire safety, use of cylinders, gases, electricity, petroleum incidents, prevention and help line numbers during National Fire Safety Week.
Dr. Vermi said that students, teachers or people who make efforts to help victims during crises, accidents or sudden incidents are honored with Jeevan Bachao Gold Medal and Certificate. Principal Mrs. Manju Garg expressed her gratitude and said that last year Dr. Rakesh Vermi, Mr. Kaka Ram Verma Ji and their colleagues had their students, teachers and parents examined by checking their eyes and provided free surgeries and spectacles to the needy.
Apart from this, 6 of their teachers and 10 students were specially honored. Mr. Kaka Ram Verma Ji gave information about first aid, CPR, traffic rules, laws, principles, duties, care of the injured, fire safety, use of cylinders.
By organizing inter-house, speech, quiz, sports competitions, the students' self-confidence, courage, were boosted and the winning students were also encouraged by giving prize certificates. She said that DBG's continuous awareness, honoring and encouraging the students for free is the best charitable and commendable work.
