Batala:- Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said in a crowded gathering here that the surprising development that the ‘AAP’ government has brought about in the last four years to change the fate of Punjab is not going well with the Akali Dal and Congress leaders. The governments from time to time in Punjab did not take strict action against gangsterism and drugs, but rather patronized them.
He fired verbal arrows at the Akali Dal and Congress leaders and said that during their governments, people’s houses were demolished with whitewash and the leaders of the same traditional parties are now talking about saving Punjab. Terming April 13 as historic, Mr. Mann said that with the law made by the Punjab government regarding sacrilege, now any accused will think a hundred times before desecrating any religious scripture. 
The Akali Dal government did not take action against the perpetrators of sacrilege for fear of losing votes. Mann applauded Punjab Aam Aadmi Party working president and Batala MLA Amansher Singh Shari Kalsi for holding a huge rally at Dana Mandi Batala and predicted that such gatherings prove that AAP will form the government in Punjab again in 2027. 
On this occasion, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of three development projects at the rally venue. These include the foundation stone of relocating the bus stand at a crowded place. During this, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced projects worth Rs 177 crore for the development of Batala. He said that during the governments of these traditional parties, the leaders were busy filling their pockets. 
Accusing the leaders of Akali Dal and Congress governments of wasting money on electricity and coal, he said that the AAP government saved Rs 12,062 crore by producing 70 lakh tonnes of coal in coal mines in Jharkhand. Earlier, Punjab AAP in-charge Manish Sisodia said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will try to steal votes in Punjab on the lines of West Bengal when he comes. MLA Amansher Singh Shari Kalsi thanked the Chief Minister for laying the foundation stone to speed up development works in Batala constituency. 
He asked women to be quick in getting health cards worth Rs 10 lakh and cards worth Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,500. On this occasion, MLA from Srihargobindpur constituency Advocate Amarpal Singh Kishankot, in-charge of Kandian constituency Advocate Jagroop Singh Sekhwan, Cabinet Minister Lalchand Kataruchak, MLA from Amritsar Jeevanjot Kaur, District President Joban Randhawa and other AAP leaders were present.
