Patiala: Harjeet Singh, President of the Technical Service Union Circle, Patiala, stated in a statement that a meeting of the Patiala Circle Working Committee was held today, December 2, 2025. Harjeet Singh, Baresh Kumar, Inderjeet Singh, Bhagwan Singh, Gurdeep Singh, West Division, Patiala, Karamjeet Singh, Happy, and Mahesh Kumar participated in the meeting. Vijay Dev, Jatinder Singh Chadha, and Gurdeep Singh Patiala also attended.
It was decided at this meeting that all Technical Service Union workers would participate in the protests being held at the subdivision level by the United Kisan Morcha to protect the electricity Act 2025 and the land. The Circle Committee will also participate in the meeting organized by the farmers' organizations on December 3, 2025. Furthermore, the Circle Committee unanimously demanded that the Punjab government end the oppression of PRTC/PUNBUS temporary workers.
Arrested workers should be immediately released unconditionally, suspended and terminated workers should be reinstated, tenders under the Kilometer Scheme should be immediately canceled, and the privatization policy should be reversed. If this is not done, the Patiala Circle Committee of the Technical Service Union, Bhangal, will contribute to this struggle.
Furthermore, temporary workers working in the Electricity Board should be made permanent, and a policy of ending their struggle through permanent employment should be adopted. Additionally, two leaders of the Technical Service Union of the Patiala Circle should be reinstated in accordance with the High Court's decision.
