Patiala, 20th August:- A meeting of the Punjab Subordinate Services Federation was held in Patiala under the leadership of Lakhwinder Khanpur, Rajpal Singh Lasoi, Jaswinder Sauja, Swaran Singh Banga and Gurmeet Singh Pedan. It was decided in the meeting that all the organizations related to the federation will leave no stone unturned to make the Punjab bandh of 27th August a success. Along with this, a large number of their colleagues were asked to fully engage in the preparation of this struggle from today itself.
Darshan Belu Majra, Jasvir Khokhar, Ranjit Mann, Dharampal Singh Lot, Dayal Sidhu and Jagtar Sahpur, who specially arrived in today's meeting, said that they will join this gathering in large numbers along with their employee and pensioner colleagues to make this bandh a success. He said that no employee or pensioner should be left out of this struggle on that day, so that the government can be forced to resolve the long-pending demands of the employees and pensioners.
He said that the main demands of the employees include regularization of unskilled workers, release of DA arrears, which are not being given despite the orders of the honorable courts, payment of Pay Commission arrears, payment of living wages to workers working on honorarium, cancellation of anti-employee letters, implementation of the old pension scheme, giving a coefficient of 2.59 to pensioners and other demands listed in the demand letter.
Government Teachers Union leaders Jaswinder Singh Samana, Paramjit Singh, Himmat Singh and Harpreet Uppal, who reached the meeting, said that teacher organizations of the entire Punjab will join this struggle by closing schools on a large scale on that day. They said that no stone will be left unturned to make this struggle a historic struggle of Punjab.
In today's meeting, besides others, leaders like Monika Masih, Rakesh Kalyan, Gurinder Sahota, Amarinder Singh Nabha, Kuldeep Ghagga, Nath Singh Buzrak, Hardev Singh, Gurmail Ghanaur, Arjan Singh Rajpura etc. participated. The leaders said that they have started preparing for this struggle from today itself and on August 27, all the employees and pensioners will come together under one flag and express their anger against the government. In this meeting, besides others, Pargat Singh Ramgarh, Sukhvir Singh Dhindsa, Sunil Kumar Badlan, Tejinderpal Singh, Arun Kumar Kolemajra, Bhupinder Sadhoheri, Jasvir Kaur, Rani Kaur etc. were also present.
