Mohali, September 12, 2026:- The book ‘Shaheed Jathedar Sher Singh Doomchheri’, based on the life, struggles and ideology of Shaheed Jathedar Sher Singh Doomchheri, was launched at a special function held on Saturday at Windhyam Hotel-Mohali Club, Phase-11. Former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Bhai Ranjit Singh attended the function as the chief guest.
On the occasion, discussions were held on the life, struggles, ideology and contribution of Shaheed Jathedar Sher Singh Doomchheri towards society. The speakers said that preserving the lives and struggles of martyrs who made significant contributions to history through books and taking them to the new generation is the need of the hour.
Prominent personalities including Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Gurpartap Singh Wadala, Santa Singh Umaidpur and Prem Singh Chandumajra attended the ??????. A discussion session on the book was also organised, during which the speakers remembered the life of Shaheed Jathedar Sher Singh Doomchheri and his contribution to society.
Gurwinder Singh Doomchheri, son of Shaheed Jathedar Sher Singh Doomchheri, said that the purpose of preparing the book is to preserve important events, struggles and thoughts related to his life in the form of a document, so that the younger generation can draw inspiration from his life.
