Una, December 28:- Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that Haroli, which once faced a long period of water, electricity, and road shortages, has today entered a decisive phase of development. Concrete work in education, health, drinking water, irrigation, and infrastructure has transformed the region on every front, and today, Haroli's children are thriving in a safe and comfortable environment. This change is the result of people's blessings and continued support.
The Deputy Chief Minister was speaking as the chief guest at the annual prize distribution ceremony of the Golden Jubilee Excellence Government Senior Secondary School, Lalri, in the Haroli Assembly constituency, on Sunday. He honored students who excelled in academics, sports, and cultural activities.
Colorful cultural performances were given by students at the event. The Deputy Chief Minister announced a grant of 31,000 rupees for cultural events on behalf of the Dr. Simmi Agnihotri Foundation.
The Deputy Chief Minister directed the school to expedite the remaining work on the science lab, costing Rs 1.30 crore, and to complete the formalities related to handing it over to the school without delay. He said that the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department and the school principal should coordinate with each other to resolve this issue quickly, so that the building can be used for the benefit of the students as soon as possible.

**New identity, new Haroli**
The Deputy Chief Minister said that this region, which once struggled for basic amenities, has today carved a new identity for itself in the fields of education, health, drinking water, irrigation, roads, and infrastructure. He said that the Haroli that is taking shape today is not limited to current needs, but is being developed in a planned manner with an eye on a secure and strong future for future generations.

**Announcement of giving 25 lakhs for the construction of Shri Guru Ravidas Ji's temple in Laldi**

**Priority given to beautification and conservation of religious places**
The Deputy Chief Minister announced a grant of ?2.5 million for the construction of a temple dedicated to Shri Guru Ravidas Ji in Lalri. He informed that the construction of the Sheetla Mata Temple in Isapur, costing ?6.50 crore, is in progress.
Rs 7.5 million has been provided for the Sri Guru Ravidass temple in Badsali and Rs 2.5 million in Saloh. Rs 25 lakh each has also been provided for the Beaton Kutiya and Siddha Baba Jalandhari temples.
He said that instructions have been given to the departmental officers to construct a tubewell in Shri Gidgidda Sahib and a water tank for Shri Radha Swami Satsang Bhawan in Amrali.

**Commitment to development is above politics**
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that development is his top priority and that work is being done above politics. He said that his commitment is to ensure that every Haroli resident gets work done, and with this thought in mind, schemes are being implemented.

** Construction of roads and bridges gains new momentum **
The Deputy Chief Minister informed that approximately Rs 50 crore has been approved under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund for the upgradation of the Jejon Mor to Tahliwal Chowk via Bhai Ka Mor link road. This project will include the upgrading of 17.50 kilometers of road and the construction of three bridges at Palakwah, Kangar, and Badhera.
Apart from this, construction work of bridges at Laldi and Chandpur at a cost of about Rs 5.50 crore is also in progress.

**Drinking water and irrigation schemes changed the picture**
The Deputy Chief Minister said that due to planned efforts, the Beet area, which once faced water crisis, has today become a major centre of cash crops, being blessed with both drinking water and irrigation facilities.
He said that water storage tanks with a capacity of 5 million liters have been constructed in Polian and 2.5 million liters in Dulahad. A 2.5 million liter tank is under construction at a height of 25 meters in Amrali, below which a coffee house-like facility will be developed. This is a 24 crore rupee project.
Apart from this, work is going on on the 'Beet Area Phase-2' lift drinking water scheme at a cost of Rs 75 crore, under which irrigation facility will be provided to about 50 thousand kanal land of 28 villages of Beet and Palakwah area by lifting water from Swan river.
He said that through these efforts, concrete progress has been made towards providing 100 percent drinking water and irrigation facilities to Haroli by 2027.

**Haroli is shining with the flame of education**
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Haroli Assembly constituency has witnessed strong and forward-looking infrastructure development in the field of education. Currently, the area has 33 government senior secondary schools, three government colleges, two ITIs, a law college, a nursing college, a triple ITI, and a Kendriya Vidyalaya.
He noted that the IIIT, established at a cost of ?150 crore, has now emerged as a prestigious national institution, while admission to the Kendriya Vidyalaya in Saloh remains fiercely competitive. Efforts are also underway to open an Ayurvedic college in the area.
He said that Haroli area, which was once considered backward in terms of education, has today become an example of educational excellence and the daughters here are making remarkable contributions as doctors, lawyers, judges and in administrative services.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the modern hospital established in Haroli is providing better healthcare facilities to the residents of the area, and 15 doctors have been deployed there. Meanwhile, the state-of-the-art veterinary hospital in Laldi is gaining recognition not only locally but also in the surrounding areas.

**Respect for teachers is essential, only then will you be successful in life**
The Deputy Chief Minister urged students to respect their teachers, saying that only education, along with values ??and discipline, can lead to progress in life. He also appealed to parents to respect their teachers and not get entangled in petty issues or unnecessary complaints.
He appealed to the society to keep children away from drugs and said that people involved in drugs will not be spared under any circumstances.
Presenting the annual report, the school's Principal Ripujit Singh gave information about the school's academic, sports and cultural achievements as well as environmental protection and drug prevention activities.
