Ratia, March 1: The dispute between the staff and the Acting Principal of Shaheed Davinder Singh Government Women's College, Ratia, which had been ongoing since February 21st, has finally been resolved through the mediation of the Sarva Samaj Sabha, Ratia, and the Shaheed Davinder Singh Memorial Trust.
At a Mahapanchayat of the Sarva Samaj Sabha, the Shaheed Davinder Singh Memorial Trust, and the college staff, chaired by Satpal Jindal, President of the Sarva Samaj Sabha, Ratia, the dispute between the former DDO Assistant Professor Paramjit Singh Sandha and other staff members of the college was resolved today when the complaining staff members openly presented their views before the Sarva Samaj Sabha. Professor Paramjit Sandha clarified that they were under pressure to complete the information and other tasks requested by the department, which may have led to the harsh words being spoken.
Speakers from the Sarva Samaj Sabha and the Shaheed Devinder Singh Yadgari Welfare Trust clarified that staff conflict negatively impacts the students' studies. They questioned how the college could maintain a conducive learning environment if this ongoing conflict persisted. Following the request of the speakers from the Sabha and the Shaheed Devinder Singh Trust, the students shared their concerns and expressed their hurt feelings about the unwelcome behavior of the acting principal, who, while in his position, had knowingly or unknowingly, had been hurt by the unwelcome words used against them. They all agreed to provide a quality education to the students in the future without any ill will.
Captain Jagjit Singh, Senior Vice President of the Sabha, stated in his address that they fully expect all highly educated staff to perform their duties with dedication and ensure a bright future for the students. The staff unanimously stated in writing that they would not harbor any ill will in the future, nor would they initiate any direct or indirect legal action. Sabha's Vice President Gurpreet Singh Nain, Treasurer Sher Singh Bhullar, Senior Executive Member Advocate Balwinder Sharma, General Secretary Dr Naeb Singh Mander, who were present in the meeting, said in their respective addresses that all the staff present have openly disclosed their problems and they are happy to know that without any malice, they will provide good services to the college in the future. They said that the Sabha will always stand with you.
On this occasion, the full cooperation of the staff of Khalsa Tri-Centenary Government College was also commendable.
