Una, November 11 - In order to provide better, transparent, and systematic facilities to passengers traveling in concessional categories, the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has launched the RFID-based "Him Bus Card" system. This card will provide easy access to concessional benefits to eligible beneficiaries and eliminate unnecessary formalities in travel procedures. The process for creating "Him Bus Cards" in the Una region began on November 1.
HRTC Una Sub-Divisional Manager Suresh Dhiman stated that this card is applicable to all passengers who travel on the corporation's buses free of charge or under concessional terms. Students and beneficiaries interested in obtaining the card can visit the HRTC Una Bus Institute's nearby branch.

**Who can obtain a 'Him Bus Card'?
All categories currently eligible for concessional travel on the corporation's buses are covered under this card system. These include students from government and recognized private educational institutions up to 10+2, state and central government and board/corporation employees, private sector employees, women passengers, police and prison departments (up to a specified rank), former MLAs and former MPs, freedom fighters and their wives, recognized journalists, gallantry award-winning soldiers, war widows, persons with disabilities, HRTC retired employees and their widows, national and state award-winning teachers, and children (up to 21 years of age), among other eligible categories.

**How ??to obtain a card?
Beneficiaries can apply online by visiting the Him Access Portal at https://sso.hp.gov.in.
After registering as a new user in the Citizen category and verifying their Aadhaar number and mobile number, select the Passes option in HRTC Services and fill out the application form for the relevant concessional category.
After uploading the required documents and paying the prescribed fee (where applicable), the application will be approved. Beneficiaries can then obtain their Him Bus Card from their nearest/designated pass center.
Sub-Divisional Manager Suresh Dhiman has requested all eligible passengers to obtain their Him Bus Cards in time to avoid inconvenience during their travel and ensure smooth access to the concessional fare
