Hoshiarpur- MLA Bram Shankar Jimpa, while addressing a press conference held at the Public Works Department rest house today, said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, development work is going on rapidly in the urban area as well as in the villages of Hoshiarpur assembly constituency. He said that construction work of 23 roads of 38 km long is being done in the villages of the constituency at a cost of Rs 6.5 crore, which will bring a major improvement in the rural connectivity of the assembly constituency.
MLA Jimpa said that under this project, the roads of almost all the villages of Hoshiarpur assembly constituency have been covered. He said that all these roads were pending since 2015-16, on which no one paid attention despite the change of two governments during this period. He said that our government has taken care of every problem of the people and solved them on priority basis.
The MLA said that the main roads included under the road construction are Hoshiarpur-Una Road Nara to Dallewal Tharoli, Hoshiarpur-Bahadarpur Road to Bassi Ghulam Hussain, Bassi Purani to MC Limit, New Abadia Adamwal to Bahadpur-Bassi Ghulam Hussain Link Road, Shergarh Purhiran to Dholanwal, Hoshiarpur Bypass Phase-1 to Bajwara, Dallewal-Tharoli to Patiyarian via High School, Bassi Daud Khan to Naru Nangal Purana, Shergarh to Chhauni Kalan, Hoshiarpur-Una Road to Chak Sadhu-Khadkan Base Camp, Gujjar Bassi to MC Limit, Manan to Patiyari, Adamwal-Sherpur Road to Bassi Ghulam Hussain, Hoshiarpur-Dharamshala to Thathal, Manjhi to Nara School and Crematorium, Old Bassi Mandir Wali Gali, Bassi Kikran to Satyal, Bilaspur Bassi Bahian via Singhpur and Bassi Mustafa to Mahilwali Road are included.
The MLA said that the completion of these roads will reduce traffic pressure and boost economic activities in rural areas. Jimpa assured the public that no negligence will be tolerated in the construction of roads and every project will be completed with quality.
On this occasion, the MLA expressed special gratitude to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann that under the leadership of the Mann government, the infrastructure development of Punjab is touching new heights. He said that the government is giving priority to the development of villages along with urban development and more development projects will be started in the constituency in the coming months.
