Nawanshahr:- A 'Writing Competition' was organized by the Navjot Sahitya Sanstha, Aur, in collaboration with the monthly 'Adbi Mehak'. Students from various classes of Bhagwan Mahavir Public Senior Secondary School, Banga, participated in this competition with great enthusiasm. These students, associated with the school's established 'Reader Club', were asked to write essays on various subjects during the competition.
Due to their wonderful writings, Ritu Sharma of class 12th secured the first position, while Nishtha of class 11th and Manjot Kaur of class 10th secured the second and third positions respectively. They were presented with certificates, garlanded, and gifted literary books. Along with them, contestants Naman Mittal, Lavika (both 8th), Dhruv Virdi, Kanika (both 7th), Nimrat Kaur 6th, Simarpreet Kaur, Ishka Kaur, Jessica (all three 10th), and Avneet Kaur 9th were also specially honored.
These honoring ceremonies were performed by the Chief Guest, social activist Dr. Bakhshish Singh MS, founder of Karan Hospital, Banga. He stated that such competitions should continue uninterrupted to encourage the student community. On this occasion, the school's Director Varun Jain congratulated the winning students and thanked the organizers. The contestants who achieved the first three positions also shared their compositions from the stage.
On this occasion, Davinder Sakohpuri, President of Navjot Sahitya Sanstha Aur, Satpal Sahlon, Editor of monthly Adbi Mehak, and Surjit Mazari, the planner of the competition, also shared their thoughts. They explained that while this competition will play a role in discovering and encouraging literary interest among students, it will also contribute to their personality development. On this occasion, Madam Sukhbarcha Saini, Anju Manjinder, and Prabhjot Singh also provided their warm cooperation.
