Garhshankar: The annual sports meet was organized for students from nursery to fifth standard in the renowned academic institution of the area, SBS Model High School Sadarpur, in which Mr. Surinder Pal Sharma (Gold and Silver Medalist) participated as the chief guest. Parents were specially present to encourage the children and enjoyed the program. 
The program began with the address of Principal Mrs. Jaspreet Kaur. Then various parade contingents participated in the march-past. The torch lighting ceremony was performed by those players of the school who have brought glory to the school in district-level and state-level competitions and bagged countless medals for the school. Various events of athletics and exercise activities were organized in the sports meet. The players who secured the first, second and third positions were awarded medals.
At the end of the program, the Managing Director of the school, Mrs. Surinder Kaur Bains, thanked all the guests and encouraged the children to do better in the future.
