New Delhi:- Millions of users of the globally popular messaging app Telegram faced a major technical disruption on Tuesday morning. The app's servers suddenly went down in several major countries, including India, the United States and Singapore. Due to the outage, users were unable to send or receive messages. As services remained disrupted for several hours, essential personal and professional work came to a standstill, leading to a flood of complaints on social media platforms.
According to data from 'Downdetector' - a website that tracks outages of websites and digital services in real time - the highest number of complaints related to Telegram issues in India were reported around 8:13 a.m. on Tuesday morning. During this period, more than 800 Indian users reported the app crashing simultaneously. Users noted that the app was taking a long time to open and, despite displaying a 'Connecting' status, was failing to deliver essential files and text messages.
