Hansi, September 05:- Teachers are the guides of society and the architects of the nation's future. A teacher not only provides textbook knowledge to a student, but also builds their personality and shows them the right direction in life. Teachers groom citizens who go on to play a pivotal role in the development of society and the nation.
Vice Chairperson of Haryana State Commission for Women, Meena Parmar, made these remarks on Saturday while addressing a Teacher's Day program organized by the Hansi Private School Association as the chief guest.
Upon arrival, the organizers and representatives of the Hansi Private School Association welcomed chief guest Meena Parmar and other dignitaries. During the event, teachers from 96 schools and notable personalities in the field of education were honored for their outstanding contributions.
Vice Chairperson Meena Parmar stated that teachers were, are, and will continue to be the nation builders shaping future leaders. In Indian culture, the teacher (guru) holds the highest esteem, revered above God because it is the teacher who leads an individual from ignorance to knowledge.
She mentioned that a teacher's responsibility has grown even further today, as students face challenges like social media and substance abuse alongside education and employment. Teachers can act as guides and inspirations in such times. She urged educators to instill discipline, morality, values, patriotism, and social responsibility along with academic lessons.
Call to Students to Honor Teachers
Addressing the students, she called upon them to always respect their teachers, noting that imbibing their teachings in daily life is the true mark of respect. She advised students not only to focus on securing good marks but also on becoming good human beings.
She emphasized that setting goals is vital for achieving success in life, urging students to work hard relentlessly according to their interests and capabilities. Success is bound to follow those who move forward with hard work, discipline, and a positive mindset.
Youth Should Become Job Creators, Not Job Seekers
Meena Parmar noted that the state government is working continuously to provide youth with skill development and self-employment opportunities alongside education. Emphasis is being placed on creating an ecosystem where youth become job creators and entrepreneurs rather than job seekers.
She appealed to students to adapt their skills to changing technology and times, integrating practical knowledge and trade skills into their lives to become self-reliant.
Stay Away from Drugs and Focus on Goals
Giving a message to stay away from drugs, Meena Parmar warned that substance abuse ruins health, family, and future. She encouraged youth to channel their energy into positive pursuits, assuring that dedicated efforts toward clear goals will yield success.

Students presented various vibrant cultural performances highlighting the significance of Teacher's Day, effectively depicting the guru-shishya tradition, the importance of teachers, and respect for education.
