Patiala, January 31:- Tarksheel Society Punjab organized a special workshop in Patiala Zone on the prevention of mental illnesses at Bang Media Hall. Former editor of Tarksheel Magazine Balbir Chand Longowal and state leader of the society Mr. Jujhar Longowal specially arrived in the workshop and in which many Tarksheel members and leaders of Ghanaur, Channon and Patiala Zone participated.
Addressing the Tarksheel activists present on the occasion, Tarksheel leader Jujhar Longowal said that in this capitalist system, the mental problems of the society have increased further and its forms are also changing.
Earlier, the society used to receive cases of ghosts, witches and housebreaking or cutting of clothes, but nowadays, cases of diseases caused by economic and social hardships are coming to mental health consultation centers more. This makes it clear that in the current capitalist system, tension is increasing in social relations, which provides a great basis for mental diseases. He also said that although communication has increased with information technology, it has destroyed our social community. Today's man has become individualistic and has started spending time on mobile phones at home instead of visiting the ranks of his area. Even all the members of a family are seen busy with their mobile phones. Due to this, mutual communication is decreasing, which is very harmful for mental health. Addressing this workshop, Mr. Balbir Chand Longowal said that this is an era of great changes. Capitalism is not shying away from playing with people's lives to promote itself. The environment is being damaged for its own profit. He said that
In fact, a major social and political change is needed at this time so that this consumerist system can be changed.
He also said that if we do not pay attention to children and deprive them of a constructive environment, then our tomorrow can never be prosperous. He stressed on the need to make people aware of the future of rationalists.

also shared their views. On this occasion, Mr. Satish Kumar Alowal, Gurtez Singh Ghanaur, Harpal Singh, Umesh Channon, Sukhdeep Channon, Rajinder Singh, Gurbachan Singh, Gurinder Singh, Jyoti, Ekamjot Singh, Harshpreet and Suresh Singh etc. also participated in this beneficial workshop and gained information about mental illnesses.
