Dehlan/Una, June 25: A summer fair was organized with great enthusiasm and joy at the Upper Dehlan Anganwadi Centre under the aegis of the Department of Women and Child Development. The objective of the event was to inform and raise awareness among women and children about schemes related to nutrition, health, hygiene, education, and child development.
Supervisor Asha Devi provided detailed information to the women present about the various public welfare schemes run by the department. Highlighting the importance of a balanced diet, proper child nutrition, care for pregnant and lactating mothers, and hygiene, she urged everyone to make the most of these schemes.
During the event, Anganwadi worker Asha Devi shared details about the centre's activities and emphasized the crucial role Anganwadis play in the holistic development of children. Various awareness activities were also organized for the children and women, in which everyone participated enthusiastically.
Village Pradhan Satveer Kaur, Up-Pradhan Harjit Singh, other Anganwadi workers, helpers, and a large number of village women participated in the event. Describing such events as beneficial for society, everyone appreciated the efforts of the Department of Women and Child Development.
At the conclusion of the program, a message encouraging the adoption of good nutrition, health, and a hygienic lifestyle was conveyed to all the women and children present. The summer fair concluded in a cordial atmosphere, with villagers emphasizing the need to organize such public awareness programs in the future as well.
