Una, June 13: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the state government has given fresh momentum to the Bulk Drug Park project—a venture of national importance. Administrative and financial approval amounting to ?28,50,54,028 has been granted to develop a 20 MVA power supply system for the Bulk Drug Park currently under construction in Haroli, Una district. This allocation will ensure a reliable and adequate power supply for the industries to be established within the park.
It is noteworthy that the project is gaining continuous momentum through the persistent efforts of Deputy Chief Minister and Haroli MLA Mukesh Agnihotri. All necessary facilities for the project are being developed in a phased manner to ensure its speedy implementation and to establish Himachal Pradesh as a leading pharmaceutical and industrial hub in the country.
*Haroli Project Among the Country's Three Bulk Drug Parks*
Being developed at a cost exceeding ?2,000 crore, the Haroli Bulk Drug Park project is one of only three such parks being established across the country. Both the Central and State governments are making an equal investment of ?1,000 crore each in this project. It will play a pivotal role in boosting the domestic production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), reducing dependence on foreign sources for pharmaceutical raw materials, and making India more competitive in the global pharmaceutical supply chain.
*Project Foundation Strengthening Rapidly*
The state government is prioritizing the development of essential infrastructure for the Bulk Drug Park. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has already laid the foundation stone for site development and other related works worth ?250 crore under this project. Additionally, drinking water projects worth approximately ?66 crore have already been completed, while work is proceeding rapidly on a new drinking water scheme costing ?175 crore to cater to future needs. The project has now received a significant boost with the approval of ?28.50 crore for a 20 MVA power supply system.

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri states that the Bulk Drug Park project will not only establish a new identity for Haroli on the national and global industrial map but also steer the state's industrial future in a new direction. He remarked that this ambitious project would transform the region into a modern industrial hub in the near future, creating large-scale employment and self-employment opportunities for local youth.
