Haryana/Narnaul:- On the directions of Vice Chancellor of Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar Verma, a grand organization of "Breed Improvement Seminar in Gaushalas" was done. This seminar was organized under the joint auspices of Haryana Pashu Vigyan Kendra, Mahendragarh and Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, Mahendragarh in Kisan Conference Hall, Narnaul. The main theme of the seminar was kept as "Best Genetics, Best Cattle", whose objective is to make Gaushalas self-reliant and to promote cattle through scientific techniques. The programme was organized by Dr. Devendra Singh and Dr. Jyoti Shunthwal, Scientists, Haryana Pashu Vigyan Kendra, Mahendragarh.
The chief guest of the programme was Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of LUVAS Hisar Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar Verma Ji. As special guests in the programme, Dr. Sandeep Kumar Gupta, Research Director LUVAS Hisar, Dr. Naseeb Singh, Deputy Director Animal Husbandry Department, Dr. Dinesh Mittal, Regional Director, Haryana Pashu Vigyan Kendra, Mahendragarh, Anil (Prant Sah Sanyojak, Gauseva Activity), Captain Hansraj (District Sanghchalak, Mahendragarh) and Arun Kaushik (District Gauseva Sangh, Mahendragarh) marked dignified presence. While presiding over the programme and sharing information with Gaushala representatives, the Vice Chancellor told that in Mahendragarh district, along with Haryana Pashu Vigyan Kendra Rewasa, there is also an animal disease investigation laboratory in Narnaul and along with this animal husbandmen can also use LUVAS's social media, WhatsApp advisory service.
While conducting the technical session during the seminar, Dr. Jyoti Shunthwal (Scientist, HPVK, Mahendragarh) presented welcome speech and gave a detailed and useful lecture on "Affordable Feed Formulation" with special reference to Gaushalas. She shared practical scientific measures for better nutrition of animals at low cost and increasing milk production. After this, an interactive question-answer session was conducted by Dr. Davinder Singh, in which queries of present Gaushala workers and animal husbandmen were resolved.
Deputy Director Animal Husbandry Department, Dr. Nasib Singh Ji also expressed his views throwing light on works and schemes of Animal Husbandry Department. At the end of the programme, Shri Arun Kaushik Ji expressed thanks to all guests, scientists, officers and Gaushala workers who came from far and wide.
A large number of Gaushala representatives, animal husbandmen and departmental officers were present in this seminar, due to which this event proved to be an important milestone in the field of cow service and research.
