Chandigarh, June 8:- Haryana Minister for Social Justice, Empowerment, Scheduled Caste and Backward Classes Welfare and Antyodaya (Services) Shri Krishan Kumar Bedi said that the state government is working with full alertness to resolve the problems of the common people immediately. Arrangements like Jan Parivaad Committee are an effective medium of direct communication between the government and the public, through which the redressal of public grievances is being ensured on priority basis.
Shri Krishan Kumar Bedi, while presiding over the meeting of the District Public Relations and Public Grievances Committee held in Fatehabad on Monday, reviewed the grievances related to various departments in detail. He directed the officials not to indulge in any negligence in resolving matters related to the public and to ensure the redressal of grievances within the stipulated time.
A total of 13 complaints were included in the agenda of the meeting, out of which 8 cases were resolved based on the report submitted by the concerned departments and to the satisfaction of the complainants. The remaining 5 cases were kept pending till the next meeting for necessary investigation and action. The cases resolved in the meeting included complaints related to drinking water, electricity, urban local bodies, public works department, police, education and other departments. During the meeting, officers of various departments presented progress reports of their respective cases. The Cabinet Minister directed the officers to take action on the basis of facts in the pending cases and submit a clear and satisfactory report in the next meeting. He said that the purpose of the meetings of the Public Grievances Committee is not only to hear the complaints but also to ensure their effective resolution.
