Hisar:– Various training activities were organized on the second day of the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-180), held at Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hissar, by the 1 Haryana R&V Squadron NCC, with the aim of strengthening the physical, military, and personality development of the cadets.
The day began with energetic Physical Training (PT), followed by sports competitions and horse riding training. The objective of these activities was to develop physical stamina, self-confidence, discipline, and equestrian skills among the cadets.
Under technical training, cadets were provided with drill and weapon training. During this session, they were given fundamental information on safe and effective handling of weapons, alongside military discipline.
In the academic session, experts delivered lectures on disaster management and the organization of the Remount and Veterinary Corps (RVC). Through these lectures, cadets were made aware of techniques for effective response during disasters and the significant role of the RVC in the Indian Army.
As part of first-aid training, an orientation of the Military Hospital was conducted for the cadets. Practical information regarding first aid, management of shock, and treatment and care of wounds was provided so that they could assist effectively in emergency situations.
Camp Commandant Colonel Vineet Butola appreciated the enthusiasm, discipline, and active participation of the cadets. He stated that the purpose of this training camp is to develop leadership ability, physical efficiency, self-confidence, a sense of service, and dedication toward nation-building among the youth, enabling them to serve society and the country effectively in the future.
