Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, July 17:- In accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, special camps will be organized at all polling stations in the district on July 18 (Saturday) and July 19 (Sunday) under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 campaign. These camps will operate from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The main objective of these special camps is to expedite the process of collection and digitization of enumeration forms being gathered by Booth Level Officers (BLOs). During this time, voters will also be facilitated to submit their forms and get necessary errors rectified.
During the special camps, priority will be given to tasks where BLOs have completed 100 percent enumeration. Such BLOs will hold meetings with Booth Level Agents (BLAs) of political parties to settle claims/objections related to discrepancies or errors.
Furthermore, BLOs who have not been able to collect the stipulated number of enumeration forms will complete the collection process by obtaining forms from the remaining eligible voters. Similarly, any gaps or deficiencies found in the enumeration forms of voters will be addressed, and the forms will be prepared for digitization.
The District Election Officer has appealed to all eligible voters to visit the special camps being held at their nearest polling stations and contribute to ensuring the accuracy of the voter list by submitting their enumeration forms or getting the necessary amendments made.
He has also instructed all Booth Level Officers to be present at the polling stations on time, provide all possible assistance to the general public, and work with full dedication to make the campaign a success.
