Special Awareness Campaign for Scheduled Caste Welfare Schemes in Una Starts July 6

Una, July 4: A state-wide publicity campaign regarding the Himachal government's welfare schemes for Scheduled Castes is underway. As part of this initiative, a special campaign will begin in Una district on July 6. Under this campaign, performance troupes associated with the Department of Information and Public Relations will inform the public about government welfare schemes and the procedures to avail their benefits through music and street plays. The objective is to disseminate information about these schemes directly to the people and foster social awareness.
Rajiv Kumar, Director of the Department of Information and Public Relations, stated that the campaign in Una district would be conducted in two phases. Programs will be held in 20 villages with significant Scheduled Caste populations, with four programs organized in each assembly constituency. Special emphasis will also be placed on de-addiction and social awareness during the campaign.

*Programs in the First Phase*
He mentioned that in the first phase, awareness programs will be conducted by 'RK Kalamanch Chintpurni' from July 6 to July 10. Through music and street plays, they will publicize government policies, programs, and various public welfare schemes aimed at the upliftment of the Scheduled Caste community.
He detailed the schedule: programs will be held on July 6 in Ghanghret and Bambansera villages (Amb); on July 7 in Guret and Bharwan alias Kangruhi; on July 8 in Dangoh Khas and Gondpur Banehra Upper (Gagret); on July 9 in Kailash Nagar and Gagret Upper; and on July 10 in Moukhas and Sakohan (Bangana).

*Awareness Programs in the Second Phase*
Meanwhile, in the second phase, awareness programs will be conducted by 'Purvi Kalamanch Jalgran Tabba' from July 14 to July 18. Through music and street plays, people will be entertained and informed about public welfare schemes at the following locations: Jodiyan and Janani (Haroli) on July 14; Jungle Panjawar and Bhadsali Tholiyan (Haroli) on July 15; Batuhi and Lamlehri Upparli (Una) on July 16; Jakhera and Bahdala Lower (Una) on July 17; and Paroiyan Kalan and Pansai on July 18.
