Jalandhar:- A large-sized file and magazine “Ghadar Di Peed 2026” prepared by eminent scholars Maharaj Kaul and Ved Prakash Vatuk, who have lived in America, on the brief biographies of Ghadri patriots were presented to the Patriot Memorial Committee by the Ghadar Heritage Foundation California today.
Amrik Khidalia, Makhan Bassi and Yadav Sodhi, who arrived at the Patriot Memorial Hall from America, felt proud to hand over this donation to the museum and library of the hall. They said that people coming from the country and abroad will be able to get information about the history of Ghadri patriots by reading these documents.
The leaders of the delegation said that Tarlochan Johal and Gurvinder Salana have also come from America with them, but due to unavoidable reasons they could not attend today’s event.
On this occasion, Amrik Khidalia, Makhan Bassi and Acharn Sodhi also shared information about the Ghadri Babas' fair, discussions and published literature celebrated every year in America.
Senior Trustee of the Committee and Convener of the Museum Committee Surinder Kumari Kochhar, Convener of the History Committee Charanji Lal Kanganiwal, Convener of the Cultural Wing Amolak Singh and Convener of the Library Committee Harvinder Bhandal gave information about the activities of the Committee and said that in 2026, the martyrdom centenary of the Babbar Akali Movement is being celebrated for a full year, which will culminate in the Ghadri Babas' fair to be celebrated on November 1.
The Committee also informed that the US-based colleagues and the Ghadri Heritage Foundation had sent more than two lakh rupees in aid earlier as well, for which they expressed their gratitude.
Finally, the committee honored the delegation from America by presenting a plaque and a set of books. Balbir Singh Moga, Gursevak Moga and Ajmer Moga were also present with the delegation. All of them promised to further strengthen the joint cooperation between America and Punjab in the future.
