Una, January 29: A program was organized today (Thursday) by the Single Women's Agricultural Cooperative Society of Ghaluwal, in which Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal participated as the chief guest. During the program, the Deputy Commissioner honored Akriti, a daughter of Sansowal village in Haroli assembly constituency, for her selection to the post of Tehsildar in the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service and extended his best wishes for her bright future.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the state government is running many welfare schemes through various departments with the objective of empowering single women socially and economically, so that they can become self-reliant and be integrated into the mainstream of society. He said that today's daughters are not lagging behind in any field and are working excellently shoulder to shoulder in every sector.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that the district administration is providing special coaching facilities to children from economically weaker sections for higher education and preparation for competitive examinations, so that their future in the field of education can be secure and strong.
During the program, the Single Women's Agricultural Cooperative Society of Ghaluwal presented their demand for the renovation of their office building to the Deputy Commissioner. The Deputy Commissioner assured all the women present that the district administration is fully committed to protecting their interests and welfare and that their problems will be resolved quickly, transparently, and effectively.
On this occasion, the President of the Single Women's Agricultural Cooperative Society Ghaluwal, Kanta Sharma, Vice-Pradhan of Ghaluwal Panchayat Anil Jaswal, Dr. Satish, Deshraj, Rajni, Anupama, Kajal, and other women were also present.
