Karnal, May 18:- Under the leadership of Assistant Sub-Inspector Satish Kumar, In-charge of Sadar Bazar Police Post under City Police Station of District Police Karnal, a significant success has been achieved by arresting two accused while taking strict action against illegal drug smugglers.
The arrested accused have been identified as Shiva, son of Hariprakash, and Ayush, son of Deepak, both residents of Gharaunda, Karnal. Upon conducting a search, the police team recovered 55 grams of the narcotic substance smack from the possession of the accused.
Giving information, Post In-charge Satish Kumar stated that Case No. 323/2026 has been registered against the accused at the City Police Station, and action has been initiated under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act. Preliminary interrogation revealed that the accused had purchased the said narcotic substance from the neighboring state of Uttar Pradesh with the intention of selling it further.
 Based on a secret tip-off, the police team set up a blockade at the railway station and apprehended both accused. Both the accused were produced before the honorable court by the police team, from where a 2-day police remand was obtained for the accused Shiva, while his associate Ayush was sent to judicial custody.
 Accused Shiva is being thoroughly interrogated during the remand period, and further investigation is underway regarding the involvement of other accused linked to this drug smuggling network.
