Sunam, July 6:- In a special event held at Shri Naina Devi Temple, Sunam, today, amidst an atmosphere of religious devotion and mutual harmony, the temple committee extended a warm welcome to Punjab Cabinet Minister Sh. Aman Arora and various Municipal Councilors. They were honored with the presentation of Mata Ji’s Chunni (stole) and a memento.
During the event, the temple committee office bearers welcomed the Cabinet Minister, stating that under his leadership, development works in the Sunam constituency and surrounding areas have gained new momentum. They noted that the efforts being made for the development of roads, education, health, sports, drinking water, sewerage, and other basic infrastructure are directly benefiting the public. The committee also appreciated the government's positive attitude toward religious and social organizations.
In his address, Cabinet Minister Sh. Aman Arora expressed his gratitude for the honor bestowed by the temple committee and stated that this recognition serves as an inspiration for him to serve the people with even greater dedication. He remarked that religious places are not only centers of faith but also hubs that strengthen mutual brotherhood, harmony, moral values, and the spirit of humanity in society.
He said that the Punjab government, under the leadership of the Chief Minister, is working with the vision of creating a "Rangla Punjab" (vibrant Punjab) and is committed to ensuring the welfare of every section of the state. The government's goal is to ensure that the benefits of development reach every segment of society without discrimination and that better basic amenities are made available to the people.
The Cabinet Minister stated that the role played by religious organizations in fostering social unity, human service, and assisting the needy is highly commendable. He assured that the government will always strive to work in tandem with such institutions to make public welfare initiatives more effective.
On this occasion, the temple committee office bearers also discussed issues related to the development of the temple and other matters of public interest with the Cabinet Minister. Sh. Arora listened to their suggestions seriously and assured them of all possible cooperation.
Following the religious rituals at the event, prayers were offered for the well-being of all (Sarbat da Bhala), and wishes were expressed for the progress, prosperity, and peace of Punjab.
The event was attended by temple committee members, senior officials of various departments, dignitaries, social workers, and a large number of devotees.
