Mumbai: After three days of decline, the Sensex today rose 1,022 points while the Nifty regained the 26,000 level today. This was possible amid rising expectations of a US Fed rate cut and fresh foreign fund inflows. The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 1,022.50 points, or 1.21 percent, to 85,609.51.
On the other hand, the 50-share NSE Nifty rose 320.50 points, or 1.24 percent, to close at 26,205.30, just 10 points behind its all-time high. During the day's trading, the Nifty rose 330.35 points to 26,215.15.
