Hoshiarpur: Sub-Divisional Magistrate Hoshiarpur, Gursimranjit Kaur, launched the Organ Donation Pledge Campaign dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji and described it as “the highest form of service to humanity”.
The SDM said that by one person pledging to donate organs, many precious lives can be saved, and this initiative strengthens sensitivity, empathy, and the collective spirit of saving lives in society. She informed that this campaign is being run extensively not only at the district level but also at the sub-divisional level under the supervision of the Health Department.
Gursimranjit Kaur appealed to all respected citizens, panchayat representatives, sarpanches, nambardars, social workers, religious organisations, youth volunteers, and influential persons of the community to enthusiastically contribute to this noble cause and motivate as many people as possible to take the organ donation pledge.
The SDM stated that any citizen can easily and securely complete the organ donation pledge registration process through the QR code, app link, and portal issued by the Health Department. She also assured that every possible administrative assistance will be provided to promote awareness and registration.
She said that together we should make Hoshiarpur Sub-Division an example in the field of organ donation awareness and registration, so that our collective initiative can bring new hope and a new dawn in someone’s life.
