Mohali, November 5: Born into a farming family in village Fatiulapur, Sardar Balwinder Singh hosted a farewell party at Divine Resort Chatamli. Before joining Punjab University, Chandigarh, considered one of the world's most prestigious universities, on 1/02/1996, Sardar Balwinder received his early education in village Fatiulapur and earned a B.Sc. non-medical degree from Punjab University, Chandigarh.
He then worked briefly as a production officer at Ranbaxy Company and then retired in 1996 as Superintendent of the Punjab University Youth Welfare Board, OSOL (now known as CDOE), Registration Department, PhD Department, and now as Superintendent of the Chemistry Department.
During his 26 years of service, he has fulfilled every responsibility on time with his honesty, affectionate nature, and sincerity. Nearly 800 guests attended Sardar Balwinder Singh's retirement party and congratulated the entire family.
Present on the occasion were his elder brother, Sardar Rajinder Singh (former Sarpanch of Fatehullahpur village), his cousin Surinder Singh (retired as ADM from Punjab Roadways), his wife, son Harvinder Singh Lali, daughter-in-law Harpreet Kaur, granddaughter Rehit Kaur, daughter Amarjit Kaur, son-in-law Gursharan Singh, nephew Jaspreet Singh (owner of Organic Store, double MA), social worker Pawan Manocha, Punjab President of Hind Sangram Parishad, Cherry Manocha, President of Yuvak Seva Club Desu Majra, social worker Satpal Singh, retired police officer Sita Ram, Ajmer Singh (Bullet Service, Sector 48, Chandigarh), and other social workers and relatives.
During the conversation, Balwinder Singh said that he will now devote his time to social service. It is worth noting that Sardar Balwinder Singh and his entire family are known throughout the area for their Seva Bhawan and are always at the forefront of social work.
