Santoshgarh/Una, July 28 (Rajveer Chopra): The Santoshgarh Municipal Council has installed fans in the newly constructed shelter at the old bus stand for the convenience of commuters and the general public. This will provide relief from the heat to passengers and locals waiting there.
Municipal Council President Anjana Chabba stated that there had been a long-standing demand from visitors to the shelter for the installation of fans. Prioritizing the public interest, the Municipal Council has fulfilled this request. She mentioned that a water cooler had already been installed there with the assistance of a socially conscious woman to provide clean and cold drinking water to the public.
Anjana Chabba added that a modern public toilet has also been constructed alongside the shelter to ensure that commuters and local citizens have access to essential basic amenities in one place. She stated that the Municipal Council aims to provide better civic amenities to the town's residents, and development works serving the public interest will continue to be prioritized in the future.
She expressed confidence that these facilities would bring significant convenience to the commuters, elderly, women, and general public who use the bus stand daily.
On this occasion, Municipal Council Vice-President Sandeep Kumar, Ward No. 1 Councilor Anju Bala, Ward No. 4 Councilor Iqbal Singh, Ward No. 6 Councilor Kusum Lata, BJP Urban Unit President Rajesh Prabhakar, Harsh Chabba, Balram Chabba, Nanak Chand, Devi Lal, Buddh Ram, Mahinder Kumar, Preetpal Singh, Raman Kumar, and other prominent citizens were present.
