Chandigarh, October 26-Under the Sant-Mahapurakh Vichar Samman and Prasar Yojana being run by the Haryana Government with the aim of spreading the teachings of saints and great men to the masses, Sant Namdev Ji Maharaj State Level Program was organized in Hisar today. Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini attended this program organized in the premises of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology as the Chief Guest.
The Chief Minister paid homage to Sant Namdev Ji and said that his life is a symbol of love, devotion and equality. He worked to unite humanity in the bond of unity by eradicating widespread discrimination, untouchability and inequality.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced that a government institution in the state will be named after Sant Namdev Ji Maharaj as per the demand of the society. Apart from this, he also announced to provide Rs 51 lakh for the maintenance of various Dharamshalas of the society and installation of solar panels. He also said that land will be provided as per the rules in Bhiwani, Panipat and Narnaul on the application of the society for land. The Chief Minister said that apart from this, the work of fulfilling other demands given by the society will be sent to the concerned departments. The Chief Minister said that Sant Namdev Ji saw God in every person and with this in mind he worked to eradicate the evils like casteism, untouchability and equality prevalent in the society. He said that true religion is the one which connects man with man and which considers the suffering of others as his own suffering. The working class of Haryana, farmers, artisans, tailors, blacksmiths and every hardworking community, live the same spirit of Sant Namdev Ji with their deeds.
Pleasant changes coming in the lives of the common man with harmony and equitable development in Haryana
The Chief Minister said that the state government has made such changes with harmony, equitable development, harmony, due to which the life of the common citizen has become simpler, easier and safer. The common man does not need to go to the offices to avail the benefits of government services. Today, the hopes and desires of the common man are being fulfilled in Haryana and their dreams are being fulfilled. The first and foremost goal of the government is to raise the living standards of the poorest person in the society so that the benefits of development reach the last person.
The teachings of saints and great men are still relevant today in realizing the vision of a developed India of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shri Naib Singh Saini said that as we are all building a developed India of the 21st century under the able leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the teachings of Sant Namdev Ji become even more important for us. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, when the country is moving forward with the mantra of Sabda Saath, Sabda Vikas, Sabda Vishwas and Sabda Prayas, then this mantra is also inspired by the Sant tradition. He said that the saints, great men, Gurus and great men are not only our invaluable heritage but also our inspiration. The teachings of such great men are the heritage of the entire human society. It is the responsibility of all of us to preserve and cherish their heritage. Therefore, the government is working to spread the message of saints and great men to the masses under the Sant-Mahapurakh Vichar Samman and Prasar Yojana. Our goal is that the new generation should get inspiration and guidance from their lives and works. This program has also been organized under this scheme.
The Chief Minister said that to fulfill the message of equality given by the great men, the government has made many such schemes so that the living standards of the poorest of the poor can be raised. The state government, following the philosophy of Antyodaya of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, is economically strengthening those families in the Antyodaya Abhiyan, which have become backward due to some reasons.
Previous governments used the OBC community only for vote bank
The Chief Minister, targeting the opposition, said that there was no OBC Commission since 2014. The government of that time used the OBC community only for vote bank but they never got their rights. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has done the work of giving their rights to the people of the OBC category by forming the OBC Commission.
Shri Naib Singh Saini said that the Congress has always exploited the poor people. It has only done vote bank politics. In Haryana in the year 2013, the Congress government had talked about giving plots of 100 yards each to the poor but neither gave them plot papers nor gave them possession. Those people were wandering from door to door. After our government came to power, we also gave plot papers to those people and gave them possession.
Following the message of equality of great men, many schemes have been launched for the welfare of the poor. Shri Naib Singh Saini said that the government has increased the income limit of the creamy layer of the backward classes from Rs. 6 lakh to Rs. 8 lakh per annum. 8 percent reservation has been given to the backward class (C) in urban local corporations and Panchayati Raj institutions. Reservation has been given to the backward class-B in Panchayati Raj institutions and urban local corporations. 5 percent reservation has been given for the post of Sarpanch and 50 percent of their population for other posts. He said that a backward class commission has been formed for the upliftment and welfare of the backward classes. Shri Naib Singh Saini said that under the Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Yojana, 5 lakh 64 thousand families have been given Rs. 21,000 per daughter till the birth of three sons. Under the Deendayal Lado Laxmi Yojana, 20 lakh siblings have been given Haryana is going to provide financial assistance of Rs 2,100 from the upcoming Haryana Day. Houses are being given to the poor under various schemes. So far, 1,75,547 families have got houses or plots. He said that under the Chirayu-Ayushman Yojana, 25 lakh 39 thousand patients have received free treatment worth more than Rs 3,486 crore so far.
Sant Namdev Ji was a symbol of equality, unity and devotion to God - Ranbir Singh Gangwa
Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister Shri Ranbir Singh Gangwa said that great saints like Sant Namdev Ji Maharaj were social reformers and messengers of equality. All our saints and great men are not of any one caste or class but guides of the entire society.
He said that the state government has established the tradition of celebrating the birth anniversary of saints and great men at the government level. The birth anniversary of many great people like Sant Kabir Das, Guru Ravidas, Bhagwan Vishwakarma, Bhagwan Parashuram, Sant Dhanna Bhagat is now being celebrated with full respect and devotion. He said that Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini has worked to provide equal opportunities to every section. While in the previous governments, people from backward and disadvantaged communities were deprived of job opportunities, now jobs are being given on the basis of ability and merit. Today, the youth of backward castes are increasing the pride of the society with HCH and other excellent services.
Shri Gangwa said that Namdev Samaj is moving forward in the direction of self-respect and self-reliance with the policies of the government. He said that the leadership of the Chief Minister is such that the public does not need to ask because the government itself is working to provide its rights to every citizen.
On this occasion, MLA Mrs. Savitri Jindal, former Minister Captain Abhimanyu, former Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta, Hisar Mayor Mr. Praveen Popli, Mr. Satbir Verma, the officials of Namdev Sabha and a large number of people from all corners of the state were present.
